Explore Brittany in 3 days

09:00

Arrive at the airport of your choice in Paris. My recommendation is Charles de Gaulle Airport.

10:00

Pick up the rental car and head to Cancale. Stop at Paul (Aire de repos de Bosgouet sud, 27310 Bosgouet) to have breakfast.

14:00

Check in at Le Querrien hotel.

15:00

Lunch with fresh oysters in Marché aux Huîtres de Cancale (12 oysters for 10€) My recommendation is to buy a bottle of champagne in the supermarket, also it is possible to buy a glass of champagne on the spot for 10€.

16:00

After lunch go deeper to Cancale and explore its small beautiful streets.

19:00

Dinner at A Contre Courant (reservation is required). I advise you to order a Assiete de Fruits De Mar (23€) ou Plateau de Fruits de Mar pour UNE (35€). These plates are full of the local seafood and each plate is enough for 2 people + starter.

10:00

Excursion with a private guide at Mont Saint Michel, a magical island topped by a gravity-defying abbey. There is a huge parking lot near the tourist office and a free bus, which goes directly to Mont Saint Michel.
Don’t eat in Mont Saint Michel, it is overpriced with terrible service.

13:00

Head to Dinan, a traditional town of northern France and park your car at Place du marché. Have lunch at Atypic Restaurant or Le Cantorbery and walk to Rue du Jerzual. Don’t forget that French restaurants have strict working hours, usually for lunch it is 12PM-2PM and for dinner 7PM-9PM.

15:00

Visit Pointe du Grouin, an amazing view point, which is 10 minutes from Cancale.

19:00

Dinner at Le Galion – Bar & Dégustation (15€ for 12 oysters+ glass of white wine) or L’Aviron (11€for 800 gr of mussels in different sauces).

09:00

Visit St Malo, a glorious walled historic French port in Ille-et-Vilaine, Brittany. Park your car at Parking Saint-Malo Quai Saint Louis.

9:30

Breakfast at Cavou Coffee Spot (closed on Mon-Tue).

10:30

Walk around the town and don’t miss the opportunity to see the town from Grand- Bé, which is only reachable by foot during low tide.
Taste the best ice-cream in Sanchez artisan glacier.

13:00

Lunch at Fidelis (reservation is required). They have a set-menu (starter, main dish, dessert) for lunch for 30€ per person.

14:30

Head towards Compagnie Corsaire Les Vedettes de SAINT-MALO to take a boat to Dinard (8€ for a round trip per person, 20 minutes). Consult the timetable at https://compagniecorsaire.com/en. This elegant seaside resort from the early 20th century is still famous today for its large beach and its beautiful villas.
Walk around Dinard and return to St Malo.
Drive back to Cancale.

19:00

Dinner at La Table Breizh Café (reservation is required). French-Asian restaurant with a tasting menu for 110€.

12:00

Return back to Paris and pass by Ruán to have a lunch at Gill Côté Bistro (12:00 – 14:30) or Les Nymphéas (12:15 – 13:45)

Park at Parking de la Cathédrale – Rouen Normandie Stationnement.
